Metal plate power shunts for high current applications in distribution
The PSJ2/PSL2 (2 terminals) and PSG4/PSF4 (4 terminals) series power shunts are constructed using a solid metal alloy resistance element with copper terminals the devices provide superior corrosion and heat resistance, along with excellent pulse resistance and long-term stability. The products are aimed at accurate high current sensing up to 244A (PSJ2; 0.2mΩ; 12W) in automotive, industrial and pulse applications.
The rated power dissipation of the devices is 10W for 0.5mΩ versions and 8W for 1mΩ types at a maximum +75°C terminal part temperature. The resistors feature a resistance tolerance of ±1% and a TCR. of ±50/±75 pm/K. The operating temperature range is very wide (-65°C up to +175°C). All products are fully RoHS compliant as well as AEC-Q200 qualified.
