With that mechanism, the card is inserted by applying a slight amount of manual pressure and then removed by pressing it again. In addition, the 100053FB connectors are equipped with a switching contact that detects whether or not a memory card is currently inserted. These card connectors are configured for a maximum of 10 V DC and 0.5 A per pin. Further specifications include a maximum initial contact resistance of 100 mΩ at the plug contacts, an insulation resistance of 1,000 MΩ and a dielectric strength of up to 500 V DC for one minute.
