MikroE launches AI-enabled Embedded Wiki with 1m designs
MikroElektronika has developed the world’s largest embedded project platform with over 1m projects assembled in real time to support over 1500 boards.
The MikroE embedded Wiki has been in development for four years, CEO Neb Matic tells eeNews Europe. The wiki constructs project details for MikroE boards in real time using a patented rule-based AI to include verified code.
The platform covers 12 topics and 92 applications. Each design contains a full description of a project, plus a list of parts that is required. The user then selects the preferred microcontroller for 100% validated, working code for the Necto software development tool.

“We focus on saving time rather than making products,” says Matic. “This is about standardisation.”
“Everything is on the internet, but it takes a lot of time to find the exact information required. And it is hard to be certain that the information found is 100% correct,” he said. “Designers can spend hours researching and still end up with an approach that may not be accurate or simply doesn’t work. Our solution is EmbeddedWiki. For four years we have been developing this huge resource library of over one million projects, each of which delivers all an engineer needs to make that design.”
The Wiki uses a standard format for the data and assembles a project from the 117 vendors that MikroE uses. “The AI is doing the structure. We tested ChatGPT but it doesn’t givbe good code for embedded projects.”
The 12 topics in the wiki cover Audio & Voice: Clock & Timing; Display & LED; HMI; Interface; Mixed Signal; Motor Control; Power Management; Sensors; Storage; and Wireless Connectivity.
Each of these general categories in the wiki has sub-categories to help project identification and rule-based AI filters guide the user through choice of application, microcontroller, Click board peripheral and development board.
