Flex Power Modules has launched a miniature isolated DC-DC converter range with 6kV for industrial applications:
The PUA-A, PUC-B and PUB-M isolated DC-DC converter ranges have an output power of up to 1W with no minimum load required. At full load the efficiency is typically 84 percent for the PUA-A, 80 percent for the PUC-B and 81 percent for the PUB-M. Input-to-output isolation voltage is 2kV for the PUA-A, 6kV for the PUC-B and 3kV for the PUB-M.
The DC-DC converter ranges are optimised for the harsh environments found in industrial applications, and have mean time between failures (MTBF) rated at 17.9 million hours (Mh) for the PUB-M, 15Mh for the PUC-B and 13.1Mh for the PUA-A. They are compliant to EN/UL 62368-1 for safety and Flex Power Modules is an ISO 9001/14001 certified supplier.

The DC-DC converter ranges have a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 100°C (PUA-A and PUC-B) and -40°C to 110°C (PUB-M). They include output short-circuit protection, to avoid damage.
The devices are all provided in industry-standard packages. The PUA-A is a SIP4 device, measuring 11.5 x 6 x 10mm (0.45 x 0.23 x 0.36in). The PUC-B is housed in a SIP7 package, measuring 19.7 x 7.1 x 11.5mm (0.78 x 0.28 x 0.45in), while the PUB-M is a surface-mount device (SMD) with dimensions of 12.75 x 11.2 x 6.6mm (0.5 x 0.441 x 0.26in) for the single-output variant, and 15.25 x 11.2 x 6.6mm (0.6 x 0.441 x 0.26in) for the dual-output version.
