Thanks to a metal frame for the connection electrodes, the choke offers a good thermal behavior, allowing it to be used in a wide temperature range from -40 °C to +125 °C. The component is manufactured in a highly automated winding process that ensures high reliability and very low scattering of electrical parameters.

The common mode inductance at 100 kHz is 80 µH, the maximum permissible current is 70 mA. Series production started in February 2020, with a special feature being the small dimensions of only 3.2 x 2.5 x 2.4 mm3, which are significantly smaller than those of common CAN bus or FlexRay chokes. This means that the new choke can be used in automotive camera systems, for example, which have an ever increasing component packing density. The choke is automotive-qualified according to the AEC-Q200 standard.

For the future, the manufacturer plans to extend the permissible temperature range of its common mode chokes and to expand its product portfolio, including products for high-speed communication, in order to be able to serve even more automotive applications.
