Minimal FAB for Maximal Efficiency
Ten years ago Dr Shiro Hara, Principle Research Scientist at AIST, Japan, was working on a concept to reduce the cost of investment for semiconductor production. Most of our chips see the daylight in large Semicon fabs aiming at high production runs. But, what if you need smaller runs of semiconductors, more tailor made and lower costs? With that idea in mind Dr Shrio Hara started developing and promoting the Minimal FAB, a very small production machine for integrated circuits. Today, the Minial FAB promises more efficiency, lower costs and better control of the silicon end product.
How that all works and what the requirements are for the Minimal Fab? No better way then let the developer speak! On invitation of National network of semiconductor companies – BCSEMI NL and Bits&Chips/Techwatch, Dr Shiro Hara will come to The Netherlands (May 14th) to present and discuss the latests developments of his product.
