Mobile e-learning platform for engineers debuts
IET Academy starts up with courses in power systems engineering, mobile communications and management and leadership. Employers are struggling to fill engineering roles with people with the correct skills and the IET Academy allows engineers to improve their knowledge while in full time work. It also allows employers to would like to train members of their current staff into new roles.
Each course is interactive, split into manageable chunks and available through an App. The courses are designed to be accessible to engineers at any stage of their careers.
Initial courses will cover power systems engineering, mobile communications and management and leadership with other courses being developed in engineering ethics, entrepreneurship in engineering, professionalism, risk management, transport, BIM, cyber security and the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
