Mobile indoor pedestrian navigation design suite ready for Android
With the release of Android 4.3, it is now possible to access uncalibrated raw sensor data at the application level, enabling Movea to roll out its own highly accurate and robust indoor navigation solution to determine trajectory and orientation-based motion processing and data fusion techniques.
As a result, Movea makes it possible for mobile device OEMs and applications developers to integrate valuable data including users’ trajectory, step and distance calculation outputs into location-based end-user applications. Thanks to this design suite, data fusion of motion processing and RF positioning technologies like GPS, WiFi and indoor maps, can now be easily developed to provide a complete and accurate solution for indoor navigation and location services for mobile devices.
Previously, Movea showcased its accurate dead reckoning and map matching techniques, compensating for magnetic perturbations and gyroscopic drift regardless of location or the position of the device with the creation of a first-of-its-kind data fusion framework.
