Mouser adds NXP’s Layerscape LS1046A Freeway Board
The evaluation board can come as a bare board or in an enclosure with a dual-band Wi-Fi module. It is an edge computing platform designed to support NXP’s QorIQ LS1046A SoC.
The NXP Layerscape LS1046A Freeway board is powered by a quad-core Arm Cortex-A72. The processor is supported by 64 Mbytes QSPI flash, 4 Gbyte DDR4 (with EEC at 2.1 GT/s), and 4 Gbits of NAND flash. The board also has two USB 3.0 ports and a Micro SD slot.
For expandability, the board offers SPI, I2C, clock, interrupts, and GPIO expansion headers. Two M.2 PCIe connectors support for Wi-Fi, SSD, and 4G/LTE; four Gigabit Ethernet ports; and a Mikroe Click board socket for expansion and wireless connectivity, such as NFC, Bluetooth Low Energy, and Zigbee.
