Mouser adds Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ multiprocessor SoCs

By eeNews Europe

Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoCs combine an Arm-based multicore, multiprocessing system with programmable logic. The devices provide maximum scalability, and make it possible to offload applications, such as graphics and video pipelining, to dedicated processing blocks. The MPSoCs also features a host of integrated peripherals and connectivity cores for next-generation applications.

The Zynq UltraScale+ family has three variants (CG, EG, and EV). Each variant has either two or four Arm Cortex-A53 cores and two Arm Cortex-R5 real-time processing units. Dual-core CG devices are intended for industrial motor control and sensor fusion applications. Both EG and EV families integrate four Cortex-A53 cores, as well as an Arm Mali-400 graphics processing unit. EV devices also have a video codec unit that supports H.265 High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) and H.264 Advanced Video Coding (AVC) standards.
