The grand prize winner will receive global recognition and a cash prize of $20,000 for an innovative product that benefits society and the economy. Previous contests have produced more than 9,000 design ideas from engineers, educators and students in more than 100 countries. Entries are being accepted now through July 1, 2014.
The “Create the Future” Design Contest has been responsible for bringing attention to product designs that increase the quality of life, improve the efficiency and quality of healthcare and help to reduce dependence on non-renewable energy sources. The Contest was launched in 2002 by the publishers of NASA Tech Briefs magazine to help stimulate and reward engineering innovation.
