The agreement allows Mouser to sell Toradex’s Colibri and Apalis families of CoMs, which are based on the NXP i.MX series of applications processors. The Colibri and Apalis modules are all pin compatible within a family for simple scalability. The two CoM families also come with the Toradex Easy Installer pre-installed for the quick installation of operating systems or demo images. Toradex’s support also includes a high-quality Yocto Project-based Linux BSP and the easy-to-use industrial Linux platform, Torizon.

Colibri iMX8X CoMs are based on the NXP i.MX 8X applications processors. The processors have up to four 64-bit Armv8 Cortex-A35 cores. The Colibri modules feature a dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth option and are designed for high-reliability applications, such as industrial automation, medical, and railway applications.

Colibri iMX7 CoMs are based on NXP i.MX 7 dual applications processors, with two Arm Cortex-A7 cores and a Cortex-M4 MCU. The boards provide advanced security features as well as heterogeneous multicore processing. This combination makes Colibri iMX7 boards ideal for power-sensitive edge computing devices, IoT gateways, medical devices, and industrial automation.

Colibri iMX6 CoMs are based on NXP i.MX 6 processors with a choice of dual-core or single-core 1-GHz Arm Cortex-A9 processors. The boards feature dynamic voltage and frequency switching (DVFS). Colibri iMX6ULL CoMs are based on an NXP i.MX 6ULL processor which have a single Arm Cortex-A7 core. They have a dual-band (2.4/5 GHz) Wi-Fi ac/a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.0 and BLE interface. The Wi-Fi module has a connector for an external antenna and is pre-certified for FCC (U.S.), CE (Europe), and IC (Canada).

Apalis iMX8 CoMs are based on the NXP i.MX 8QuadMax or i.MX 8QuadPlus applications processor and also have a dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth option. The Apalis iMX8 CoMs integrate high-performance dual-GC7000 GPU with support for OpenCL and OpenVX for accelerated computer vision and machine learning applications. Apalis iMX8 modules have been designed for harsh environments, with -40o to 85oC operation and product availability until 2030. QNX and Android operating systems are available in addition to Torizon.

Apalis iMX6 CoMs are based on the NXP i.MX 6 processors, which have a scalable Arm Cortex-A9 processor with up to four cores. The processors offer a peak CPU frequency of 1.2 GHz to deliver high CPU and graphical performance with low power consumption for applications such as medical devices, industrial automation, HMIs, avionics, data acquisition, robotics, and gaming.
