Movidius licenses UltraSoC monitor IP
Movidius plans to include the UltraSoC IP in its next-generation of machine vision systems-on-chip (SoCs). Movidius will use the UltraSoC hardware and software with its own MoviDebug technology, to create a debug and communications infrastructure that will support its end-to end product development flow.
“We’re expecting immediate gains from the ability to use on-chip USB as our primary debug interface, a simple change which saves us time and money, as well as providing data speeds more in keeping with our leading-edge low-power machine vision platform,” said Brendan Barry, vice president of engineering at Movidius, in a statement issued by UltraSoC.
Rupert Baines, UltraSoC CEO, said Movidius has joined a list of customers that includes Lauterbach, Imagination (MIPS), and Teledyne LeCroy.
