A proposed roadmap for sensors was one outcome of he Trillion Sensor Summit (www.tsensorssummit.org), which took place at Stanford University, California, in October 2013. The initial document, in the form of book detailing a minimum set of manufacturing platforms, is expected to appear within a year.

The seminar is scheduled to include presentations on innovations and requirements for sensors to become the next "big thing" and will include a market outlook. It will also include a panel discussion to discuss such issues as business models, diversity versus standardization and evolution in the sensor supply chain.

The seminar is expected to be a full day event, closing with a networking event at 6pm. More details and registration can be obtained through Yole.
