This means that narrow surge protection devices for 3-conductor applications with an overall width of 6mm are now available, fitting seamlessly into the company’s Termirab product range. A pluggable solution is available for intrinsically safe areas: the TTC-6P-3 surge protective devices have a much higher rated current, at 5A, than the HF variants. The new protective devices for 3-conductor applications are typically used in temperature measurements, for example. The lack of resistors in the protective circuit means there is no fundamental attenuation. There is no impact on the measuring signals.
