The ATtiny3217 and ATtiny3216 MCUs have been designed for reliable operation in harsh environments and offer built-in safety functions, such as Power On Reset (POR), programmable Brownout Detect (BOD), Voltage Level Monitor (VLM) and Windowed Watchdog Timer (WWDT).

The MCUs have two ADCs to allow touch control to be performed simultaneously with analog measurements, or the ADCs can be used together for faster sampling. The dual ADCs can also be used for synchronous sampling of analog signals, such as voltage and current to improve real-time performance. The devices operate at up to 5V and are available in 125°C variants.

The ATtiny3217 and ATtiny3216 have 32 KB of Flash, giving headroom for application code. tinyAVR MCU series devices are supported by the Atmel Studio 7 IDE and the Atmel START code configurator. An ATtiny3217 Xplained Pro evaluation kit is also available.
