New Arduino platform and easier cloud connectivity
The low-code application development platform features modular hardware and makes it possible to get an application up and running in under a day.
Arduino has used its relationships with Amazon, Arm, Bosch, Intel, Google, Microsoft and Samsung to create the new platform.
Arduino hardware already features on-board crypto-authentication chips and certified comms modules with WiFi, BLE, LoRa, LTE Cat-M and NB-IoT to enable easy and secure cloud connectivity.
Arduino has also announced the Arduino Portenta family, which has been developed for demanding industrial applications, AI edge processing and robotics. The new family offers open high-density interconnect for advanced peripherals. The first member of the family to be launched is the Arduino Portenta H7 module – a dual-core Arm Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M4 operating at 480MHz and 240MHz, respectively, with industrial temperature-range (-40 to 85°C) components. The Portenta H7 is capable of running Arduino code, Python and JavaScript.
