New building automation solution is powered by multiprotocol technology
These wireless protocols incorporated in the Hager Smart RF module include BLE, KNX and Sigfox. Connectivity is achieved through Silicon Labs’ EFR32 Wireless Gecko SoC, which allows energy-efficient multiprotocol and multiband connectivity at 2.4 GHz, 868 MHz and 433 MHz.
The Hager Smart RF module comes in a small form factor and is intended for home automation applications, assisted living, and commercial building automation. Taking a multiprotocol approach allows the Hager module to adapt to changing requirements and update over the air.
The Smart RF module integrates 2.4 GHz Bluetooth LE, secure KNX RF for sub-GHz bands and Sigfox technology for LPWAN access. The module incorporates a Cortex-M4 CPU, 512 kB flash, a multiprotocol RF transceiver, hardware cryptographic acceleration for AES 128/256, SHA-1/2 and ECC, and a wide range of low-power peripherals and interfaces.
