The MB85RS2MTA is a small capacity, 2 Mbit FRAM device with SPI interface, but the company intends to launch higher density products soon. As well as the lower cost, the MB85RS2MTA also offers other advantages, including a higher operating frequency of 40 MHz at 3V and lower power consumption of 2.0 mA active current at 40 MHz, which is a fifth of the legacy product. In standby, the device consumes a third of the legacy range’s power at 50 µA, which drops to 10 µA in sleep mode.
The latest FRAM technology offers the benefits of other Fujitsu FRAM products, with an endurance of 1013 read/write cycles, 10 years’ data retention at 85°C and fast read and write speeds. MB85RS2MTA is available now in a SOP 8pin package (150mil).
