New IoT boards use u-blox technology
A Raspberry Pi HAT will provide Raspberry Pi boards with cellular communication and cellular-based positioning services using the u-blox LARA-R2 LTE Cat 1 module series. The board will have variants for USA Verizon, USA AT&T and Europe.
The WIO LTE Cat M1 / NB1 tracker is intended to provide the hardware for low-power location tracking devices. It can be programmed using the Arduino IDE and is Espruino compatible. The board uses u-blox’ MAX-M8Q GNSS module to determine position using multiple GNSS satellite constellations, and connects to the cellular network using u-blox’ SARA-R4 LTE Cat M1 / NB1 module. It is possible for customers to customise the board and have it manufactured through Seeed’s services.
