New low voltage LDOs deliver industry’s lowest dropout voltages
Intersil’s ISL80111, ISL80112 and ISL80113 are specified for 1 A, 2 A and 3 A output currents, and are optimized for precision low voltage regulation. Each includes a very low resistance NMOS pass transistor, and the ISL80113 can deliver an ultra-low 75 mV dropout voltage at 3 A. The devices’ 1.6% output voltage accuracy, 80 dB power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and 100 uVrms noise result in exceptional output voltage regulation. The LDO regulators also deliver best-in-class transient response, minimizing the amount of output capacitance.
All three LDOs have identical footprints, giving designers flexibility with load current demands that often change during product development.
The LDOs offer 1.6% output voltage accuracy across all operating conditions and only 10 uF output capacitance is required versus up to 100 uF with competing products. The Vin range of 1 V to 3.6 V and Vout of 0.8 V to 3.6 V optimized for low voltage conversions
Availability and Pricing
The ISL80111, ISL80112 and ISL80113 are available now in compact 10-lead, 3 mm x 3 mm DFN packages, with prices starting at $0.99 each for the 1 A, ISL80111, $1.32 each for the 2 A ISL80112, and $1.65 for the 3 A ISL80113 product in 1,000-unit quantities.
