This is the second eBook in the company’s Intelligent Revolution series.

Mouser’s new eBook relates the experience of professionals who are looking at a variety of AI applications in public safety, ranging from health and medicine to new uses for robotics.

“This year has demonstrated the importance of developing new solutions for public health and safety, and artificial intelligence has led to key breakthroughs in several applications,” said Kevin Hess, Senior Vice President, Marketing at Mouser Electronics. “The newest eBook in The Intelligent Revolution series explores several of these new AI applications, highlighting how new developments will lead to tangible improvements in public health outcomes and safety practices.”

The new AI eBook series is part of Mouser’s Empowering Innovation Together program. The eBook, Artificial Intelligence: A Multi-Faceted Approach to Safety includes articles from science writer David Freedman.

The first article in the new eBook looks at how robots and AI have been used for the disinfection of grocery stores and food banks to stop the spread of COVID-19. Another article sees Freedman look at how machine learning can help staff at elderly care facilities to prevent patient falls. A third article showcases how AI has been used to support the use of living cells in the development of new drugs and organic compounds.

The Intelligent Revolution series was developed to provide a set of resources that cover the new uses of artificial intelligence. As well as eBooks, the series features blog posts, polls, and infographics, that provide a comprehensive educational experience for readers.

Previous Empowering Innovation Together series have highlighted the process of turning an idea into a product, as well as innovative developments in robotics and smart city design.
