New series of low-jitter SiGe VCSOs focus on fiber optic telecom applications
The IDT M675S02 series is a single-frequency, single-output VCSO for low-jitter and low-phase noise clock generation, supporting fundamental frequencies from 500 MHz to 1 GHz. This new device provides higher frequencies than previous generations, and the low jitter and phase noise help to reduce overall bit error rates (BER), making the device well-suited for phase-locked loop applications, clock and data recovery circuits, and other timing applications in telecom and optical fiber networking systems.
The high-frequency IDT M675S02 is available in a small 5×7.5 mm package, ideal for compact and densely populated enclosures. In addition, it offers a ±120 ppm absolute pull range (APR), linear tuning and a 600 kHz modulation bandwidth. Beyond the telecom and optical fiber networking applications, the device also serves as a low-jitter clock reference for analog-to-digital converters.
Availability and Pricing
The IDT M675S02 is currently sampling to qualified customers and is available in a 5×7.5 mm low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) package.
