New TESTdrive software release improves data logging
The most important feature is, according to Ipetronik, that it significantly reduces the start time of the company’s data loggers. Depending on configuration, the new software speeds up the start time by a factor of up to 15. The reason: The configuration image file is now stored in a new binary data format which significantly reduces the amount of data to be transferred and processed.
Another new feature is the function "Manual post processing during measurement". If activated, activities such as copying, compressing and encrypting data and others can be performed simultaneously with the measurement activity. Measurement series with short interruptions between single measurements are particularly benefitting, the company says.
In addition, the new release supports ODB2 measurements at the vehicle. This enables users to acquire vehicle operating data in accordance with the ODB-2 diagnosis standard, using Ipetronik M-Log, S-Log or FLEETlog data loggers. This standard, mandatory in the EU, enables users to record exhaust gas relevant data once per second. For this purpose, TESTDrive offers 96 pre-defined measurement points throughout the power train which can be activated according to the user’s requirements.
The software also contains a new hardware driver. This IPEmotion logger PlugIn V03.22 enables users to recognize the company’s MultiDAQ universal measurement module vua a data logger.
