Air-compressors and electric turbochargers achieve more than 100,000 rpm and in combination with the requirement for low latency, this results in application temperatures of around 200°C. VACOMAX 262 TP provides not only excellent high-temperature properties, in comparison to all currently available SmCo magnets it is also characterized by a much higher energy density, leading to most compact system sizes.

Due to VAC’s unique high yield single part pressing technology, VACOMAX 262 TP is available for the high volume demands of the automotive industry. In many applications, the high rotational speeds lead to mechanical stresses in the rotor. Remedy for these are metal or carbon fiber bandages that protect the brittle material. The assembly of bandaged and balanced rotors is a further competence that distinguishes VAC, as well as the complete in-house capability from material development to rotor assemblies.
