NVMe SSD Controller family for 96-layer SSDs
The controller family has been developed to facilitate SSD solutions for emerging 96-layer triple level-cell (TLC) and quad level-cell (QLC) NAND architectures. The 4-channel 88SS1084 and 8-channel 88SS1100 feature performance, endurance and reliability to assist broaden the adoption of NVMe SSDs.
The controller family can offer up to 3.6GB/s of bandwidth and up to 700,000 input output per second (IOPS). The devices support lower voltage NAND devices and LPDDR4 DRAM components. In addition, the 88SS1084 and 88SS1100 have a common hardware and firmware controller architecture with Marvell’s recently announced data centre and enterprise NVMe controllers, the 88S1088 and 88S1098.
