NXP S32K MCUs with ISELED from Mouser

NXP S32K MCUs with ISELED from Mouser

By eeNews Europe

Part of NXP’s S32K automotive-qualified MCU family, the S32K ISELED-enabled devices have the same feature set, but add the ISELED communication protocol.

The ISELED protocol allows well-balanced light parameters with tight calibration and better processing control for RGB LEDs. The NXP S32K ISELED-enabled MCUs feature 32-bit Arm Cortex-based processing power along with access to this ISELED ecosystem for a complete hardware and software solution for next-generation smart LED lighting applications.

The S32K ISELED devices are automotive-qualified MCUs based on either an Arm Cortex-M0+ core (S32K11x families) or an Arm Cortex-M4F core (S32K14x families). They feature a production license and a dedicated driver to run the ISELED serial communication protocol. The ISELED software driver runs within the SDK included in the S32 Design Studio IDE or in the AUTOSAR environment.

Mouser has also added the NXP S32K EVB evaluation board. Based around the S32K144 MCU, the S32K144EVB has a form factor compatible with the Arduino Uno pin layout for quick application prototyping and demonstration.
