OLED lighting design contest looks to identify innovative applications
The innovation contest, jointly sponsored by Corning and OLEDWorks, is intended to create designs that are functional, practical and can be manufactured while acquiring creative designs that take advantage of unique product attributes from OLEDWorks, including thin, lightweight, cool to the touch, and color quality.
With this contest, the two companies hope to identify innovative applications for the OLEDWorks panels with a focus on retail, hospitality, residential, and medical lighting. The contest is open to the public, including students, emerging professional designers, and professionals working at design studios and luminaire companies.
All proposals must be submitted online at NineSigma.com by June 30, 2016. Up to five winners will be announced in September and awarded $10,000 each.
NineSigma is running a webinar on May 11th, 10am – 11am EDT for the design contest. Join the webinar and learn more about the contest at https://ninesights.ninesigma.com/web/lighting.
