
OnSemi, Lattice guide to Q4 weakness
Two broadly-based chip companies, OnSemi and Lattice Semiconductor, have both guided to below-seasonal Q4 revenue declines of about 8 percent within their 3Q23 financial results.
OnSemi, strongly engaged in automotive and industrial markets, reported a 3Q23 net profit of US$582.7 million on revenue of US$2,180.8 million. Revenue was up 4.1 percent sequentially but flat with the same quarter year before.
OnSemi guided that Q4 revenue would be between US$1,950 million and US$2,050 million, down 8.3 percent at the mid-point compared with Q3 revenue.
Lattice Semiconductor, a vendor of FPGAs, reported a net profit of US$53.8 million on revenue of US$192.2 million for its 3Q32. Revenue was up 1.1 percent sequentially and up 11.4 percent compared with 3Q22.
The guidance from Lattice for Q4 is that revenue will be between US$166 million and US$186 million, down 8.4 percent at the mid-point.
