Open modeling language gives easy IoT connection
The new IoT Plug and Play service, says the company, addresses one of the biggest challenges faced by developers: deploying IoT solutions at scale. Previously, software had to be written specifically for the connected device it supported, limiting the scale of IoT deployments.
IoT Plug and Play, says the company, will offer customers a large ecosystem of partner-certified devices that can connect quickly. According to the company, initial partners include Askey, Brainium, Compal, Kyocera, STMicroelectronics, Thundercomm, and VIA Technologies.
Interested users can find devices that are already Plug and Play-ready in the company’s Azure IoT Device Catalog.
