In addition, Optenni 3.3 now allows the the port type to be specified as “External port”, “Component port”, “Open” or “Shorted” in multiport matching. Numerous improvements based on customer feedback have also been added, including: tuning of library component values and tolerances separated into different tuners, user Smith charts, a faster way to add curves to new or existing user plots, and the ability to copy circuit information to the clipboard and stored to a text file.

Also, several new tutorials and applications notes have been added:

  • Balun Matching Tutorial – how to optimize a balun;
  • Switch Tuner Tutorial – how to design tunable matching circuits using switches;
  • Application note on MIMO matching – how to improve antenna isolation by decoupling network synthesis;
  • Application note on calibration and measurement – practical considerations on measuring antenna prototypes;
  • Application note on documentation – Optenni lab documentation and export features.

Optenni will be showing this latest release and giving several presentations at the upcoming IMS 2016 in San Francisco.
