Optical shutter pairs with rotary solenoid for efficiency
Designed for medical device instrumentation or thermal and infrared imaging, the rotary solenoids are up to 25% more reliable than linear solenoid technologies, claims the manufacturer while being up to twice as cost-effective as IRIS shutter technologies.
The spring or bi-stable solenoids consume up to 50% less energy than IRIS shutters and as much as 15% less energy than competing rotary solenoid technologies.
DACO provides both spring format (for applications that prioritize reliability) and bi-stable format (for applications that prioritize energy efficiency) shutters and rotary solenoids. Both clockwise and counter-clockwise rotations are available with rotation angles of up to 60° for spring solenoids and up to 75° for bi-stable solenoids.
