Stating that the single biggest problem for instrument manufacturers is sensor lifetime, the company has invested five years on a multi-million dollar, multi-disciplinary development programme to create the vented technology used in the 4OXV sensor.
It achieves the breakthrough in serviceable lifetime through reducing lead exhaustion, electrolyte leakage and inappropriate response to environmental variability – the three main cases of oxygen sensor failure.
The sensors are mechanically and electrically compatible with previous generations of the company’s 4OX family.
