The standardised R&S CEMS100 test platform is claimed to be the first flexible and reliable off-the-shelf solution for EMS measurements in line with IEC/EN 61000-4-3, with all components needed for EMS and EMI measurements. It covers all common frequency ranges and field strengths required for precompliance tests and certification. With a modular structure and versatile configuration, users can adapt the system to future changes to standards and manufacturer-specific test procedures.

Alongside the EMI test platform, the ESR EMI test receiver has been expanded by adding a model for up to 26.5 GHz. The instrument can be used to perform conducted or radiated certification measurements in line with commercial standards such as EN, CISPR and FCC as well as military standards. With a broadband architecture, the R&S ESR26 performs disturbance measurements in seconds. FFT analysis on the RTO 4 GHz digital oscilloscope, with colour coding of spectral components, offers a simple visualisation of the time structure and the type of disturbance.

Also relevant to EMC testing is the 2.5 GHz to 6.0 GHz model added to R&S’ BBA150 broadband amplifiers. The new frequency range is an addition to the already existing range from 0.8 GHz to 3.0 GHz, and maintains the combination of high output power while being compact and lightweight.
