Panasonic all-in-one Bluetooth module in distribution
The PAN1322 Place & Play Bluetooth Module is smartphone compatible and supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) provides for data transfers as fast as 3 Mbits/sec and the module can be programmed using standard modem commands using the AT command set. An onboard 2.4 GHz transceiver and antenna frees engineers from having to do RF design. The module is based on a single chip Bluetooth solution that interfaces to most microcontrollers. While the BT 2.1 + EDR stack provides secure, reliable, high speed data connections, Secure Simple Pairing (SSP) allows for even faster connections and enforces data encryption for protection against man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks.
The PAN1322 Series recognises Apple’s authentication coprocessor and supports Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP) data communication with Apple iPhone and iPad. Connectivity is supported for Android, smart phones, and all Bluetooth enabled devices. The PAN1322 measures 15.6 x 8.7 x 2.8 mm, and it is fully shielded to improve immunity from any interference.
The PAN1322 Series is fully compatible with the previous module, the PAN1321 Series. Easy hardware and firmware prototyping and testing are provided using the EVAL_PAN1322 development kit and SPP Toolbox development environment, both available from Mouser Electronics. All Panasonic Bluetooth RF modules carry FCC, IC, CE Bluetooth certifications.
