Parrot sues Audi subsidiary over lost project

According to a press release from e.solutions parent company EB, Parrot has filed a lawsuit against e.solutions in the Tribunal de Commerce de Paris, claiming an indemnification amount of € 18.4 million for loss of profit and reputational damage. Parrot blames e.solutions to have terminated an agreement "abruptly and fraudulently", by deciding not to use Parrot’s software on a certain project. Neither company involved in the case specified the type of the project. It however is not unlikely that it was related to Audi’s developments in the area of the connected car – e.solutions has been launched for this very purpose, and Parrot supplies voice control software and hands-free telephony products as well as chips and algorithms for echo cancelling and noise reduction as well as a Bluetooth software stack.

By the time this article was posted, neither e.solutions nor Parrot were ready to comment. e.solutions parent company EB said it refuses Parrots claim since it is without merit both in terms of the grounds and the amount of the claim. In addition, the Paris Tribunal de Commerce is not a competent forum to process the dispute, says EB.
