Partnership to create an integrated RFID tracking and weighing solution
The hardware for the solution will be based on HARTING’s MICA (Modular Industry Computing Architecture) edge computer, which will be combined with the itelligence it.x-connect solution. MICA will capture the weight and tracking information and feed the data to the SAP processes.
The brief for the project is from Cavendish & Harvey to track containers, boxes and pallets in production automatically. The whole solution will be highly automated with SAP processes in production and in warehousing using a combination of MICA, it.x-connect and SAP software including IoT Edge Gateway, SAP Leonardo, SAP Cloud and SAP S/4HANA. Seamless networked data flow is vital to the success of the project.
