The 701949 10:1 miniature passive probe can be used with high-density PCBs. It has a slim probe head to offer better visibility during operation. The tip also has an in-built spring mechanism to prevent slippage by automatically adjusting the load. A range of accessories is available for the probe to make it suitable for high-speed signals such as ICs and high-density mounting boards. The 701949 frequency bandwidth ranges are from DC to 500 MHz, and an input voltage of +/-400V RMS.
The 702907 features a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C. It also has a probe length of 2.5 m, to isolate the instrument from the high-temperature measurement point. Longer probes also come in useful if the measuring instrument has to be connected to a temperature-controlled chamber. The probe offers frequency bandwidth ranges from DC to 200MHz, and an input voltage of +/-1000V DC + AC peak. To provide reliability when used in severe environmental conditions, the probes can withstand a cable mount pulling force of 60 N and have been tested over 500 temperature cycles. To allow the connection of the probe to the application in a convenient way, they can be used with a range of probe tip conversion adaptors. These adaptors include safety mini clips, fork terminal adapters, small or large alligator clips, and 4 mm conversion adaptors with pincher tip or safety banana connectors.
Typical applications for the new 702907 probes include accelerated testing and validation of automotive parts, testing designs inside a temperature chamber, and the environmental testing of power converters for outside installations.
