The International Exhibition and Conference for Power Electronics, Intelligent Motion, Renewable Energy and Energy Management saw 465 exhibitors and 81 represented companies showing new trends, developments and innovations from various fields of power electronics to the 10,836 visitors. This is up slightly on last year which saw 10,053 visitors but significantly up on the 2015 visitor count of 8.976. The number of exhibitors was also up compared to the 436 exhibitors in 2016, although there were 93 represented companies last year.

The show saw announcements on silicon carbide, gallium nitride and a whole host of DC-DC converters (see stories below).

“We are particularly pleased with the high proportion of international exhibitors and visitors,“ said Lisette Hausser, Vice President of organiser Mesago PCIM. „The response to the “E-mobility” special exhibition area that we introduced this year was entirely positive. This plays an important role in power electronics today and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.”

“What sets PCIM Europe apart from other exhibitions is the fact that visitors are very well informed and highly qualified. They approach us with specific questions and are interested in tailor-made solutions,” said Thorsten Grandt, marketing specialist for circuit boards and device connectivity at Phoenix Contact.

Over 800 participants joined the international conference with 300 lectures and poster presentations on the latest technologies and market developments.
