The Flexor Model 3316 8-channel ADC FMC is installed on either the 5973 or 7070 FMC carrier containing Pentek’s 8-channel digital down converter (DDC) IP, which is matched to the eight 250-MHz, 16-bit ADCs on the FMC.

In these first offerings, the FMC front end accepts eight analogue HF or IF inputs on front-panel connectors with transformers coupling into four Texas Instruments ADS42LB69 dual ADCs. Each DDC has an independent 32-bit tuning frequency ranging from DC to the ADC sampling frequency and its own unique decimation setting, supporting as many as eight different output bandwidths. Decimations can be programmed from 2 to 65,536, providing a wide range to satisfy virtually any application.

Both FlexorSets come preconfigured with a suite of built-in functions for data capture, synchronisation, time tagging, and formatting, all tailored and optimised for the FMC and carrier. The IP enables capture and delivery of data to provide a turnkey signal interface for radar, communications, and general data-acquisition applications.

FlexorSets are intended for air-cooled, conduction-cooled, and rugged operating environments. Prices for both the Model 5973-317 for 3U VPX and the Model 7070-317 for PCI Express start at $24,490.
