Performance upgrade for signal analyser comes with move to Windows 7
Additional enhancements include RF CXA phase noise that now provides up to a 10 dB performance improvement, enhancing test result accuracy. For microwave frequencies, the CXA supports new cellular telecommunications, wireless connectivity and digital video measurement applications. There is now an extension to the analyser’s operating temperature range for guaranteed performance between 0°C to 55°C.
Agilent positioned the CXA s a high-quality, low-cost solution, and asserts that these updates, ”add to its capabilities and value, delivering an affordable signal analyser with even more features typically associated with higher-cost products.” Revised specifications include;
– noise of –110 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset, 1 GHz centre frequency for up to a 10 dB phase-noise performance improvement to provide more accurate test results.
– 64-bit performance CPU with 4 GB RAM to maximise the benefits available from the Windows 7 operating system.
Enhancements for the microwave CXA analyser include seven measurement applications for testing cellular communications, including: GSM/EDGE/Evo, W-CDMA/HSPA+, cdma2000, 1xEV-DO, TD-SCDMA/HSPA, LTE-FDD/TDD and Multi-standard radio (MSR). Two new measurement applications test Mobile WiMAX and WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n wireless connectivity devices.
Five measurement applications for testing digital video technologies comprise; Digital cable TV, DVB-T/H/T2, ISDB-T/Tmm, DTMB (CTTB) and CMMB.
