The ultra-fine, ultra-high resolution display features 2000×2000 pixels (2k2k) but due to its fine pixel pitch, can be designed in a compact physical form factor, achieving image features with smooth borders and fine detail. These microLED display products could find use cases in augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) smart glasses.
Plessey plans to progressively scale its GaN-on-Si technology to larger wafers, improving cost, uniformity and yield.
