Plug-in motor controller allows fast integration
The NP5 controller is suitable for both brushless DC and stepper motors and can be easily integrated into customer designs via the PCI Express connector. The PCI connector also reduces wiring effort, especially in multi-axis applications.
The controller has the ability to control motors of up to 6A through FOC, Hall sensors or sensorless control. Besides position, speed and torque control, the NP5 has operating modes with cyclical set value specification for interpolated multi-axis operation.
The free Plug & Drive Studio software is used to parameterise and program the controller. The NP5 can also be driven by a higher-level controller through SPI, EtherCAT, Modbus RTU, or CANopen. The controller can be programmed using the NanoJ V2 programming language so time-critical subtasks can be executed directly.
Equipped with 6 digital inputs and outputs, 2 A/D converters and 2 encoder inputs, the controller also offers one brake output.
