DSP Ventures offers the development platform Audio Weaver to streamline the audio development process. Audio Weaver is a hardware-independent platform that enables in-house development of audio algorithms. It is currently used in more than 40 million devices in the automotive and consumer goods industries, including Porsche. In addition, DSP Concepts has developed an intelligent software called “TalkTo”, which enables reliable voice control even in the presence of strong ambient noise.

DSP Concepts’ headquarters are located in Santa Clara, California. The company also runs offices in Boston, Stuttgart and Shanghai. DSP Concepts intends to use the capital raised to expand worldwide. The start for this is the opening of a new office in Taiwan this year.

Porsche is already using DSP Concepts’ software – for example in the creation of the typical “Porsche sound” for the Taycan electric car.

“The development process in the audio environment came to a halt in the 1990s. Today, audio experiences for technology products are more critical to success than ever before,” says Chin Beckmann, co-founder and CEO of DSP Concepts. “The Audio Weaver platform operates in real time and across multiple chip families, allowing customers to focus on developing product differentiating features.

The Series B financing round raised a total of $14.5 million for the Silicon Valley-based company, with Porsche, BMW iVentures, MediaTek Ventures and the ARM IoT Fund among others.
