Power analysis oscilloscope suits field-based applications
The instrument differs from conventional oscilloscopes in having four fully isolated channels, making it uniquely suitable for measurements on multi-phase power installations. Using P5120 passive high-voltage probes, floating and differential measurements up to 600 V RMS Cat II can be made. As well as mains operation, the oscilloscopes can be operated from their built-in “hot swappable” batteries, which provide up to 8 hours continuous operation, making them ideally suited to field-based measurements. Standard FFT analysis can be used to reveal signal interference, crosstalk and other effects visible only in the frequency domain. Optional power analysis software provides harmonics analysis, instantaneous power waveform analysis, switching loss, phase angles, and dv/dt and di/dt cursors. The TPS2000B series is available in three versions with bandwidths up to 200 MHz and real-time sampling rates up to 2 GS/s.
