The R&S NGE100B series is particularly easy and safe to operate and replaces the R&S NGE100 series. Rohde & Schwarz will continue to provide software updates, service and maintenance for the R&S NGE100 predecessor series.
The robust NGE100B instruments have galvanically isolated channels and safety binding posts and the colour-coding of the channels provides a quick overview. All channels are galvanically isolated, floating and electrically identical so that each channel to be operated as an independent power supply. Higher output voltages and currents can be achieved by combining the channels in serial or in parallel.
The R&S NGE102B with two channels and the R&S NGE103B with three channels for education and production as well as in R&D labs. With regulated fans, the R&S NGE100B series is also particularly quiet. The safety binding posts avoid the need for adapters and the integrated USB interface and wireless LAN options are especially useful for education.
The safety functions protect the device under test and the power supply, even in complex setups. This allows maximum voltages and currents to be set and shutdown scenarios to be defined.
Combined with the R&S RTB2000 oscilloscope, the R&S FPC1500 spectrum analyzer and the R&S HM8012 digital multimeter, the NGE100B supplies are suited to use in universities and R&D laboratories.
Rohde & Schwarz is presenting the R&S NGE100B power supply series to the public for the first time at electronica 2018 (hall A3, booth 307) in Munich. The power supplies are available now from Rohde & Schwarz and selected sales partners, with prices starting at €650.
