Pressure sensor evaluation kit uses Arduino format – in distribution

The Honeywell SEK001 sensor board does not require the development of code before receiving sensor measurements, enabling developers to start testing and prototyping right away. The SEK001 is essentially an Arduino shield board, which can interface a chosen individual sensor to the Arduino Uno (Rev3) microcontroller board. The selected sensor can either be mounted directly on the SEK001 board, or alternatively connected via leads enabling the sensor to be tested in adverse environments, or in a prototype product for proof-of-concept testing.

 

The kit includes the SEK001 sensor evaluation board and five jumpers that are preconfigured to evaluate the on-board Honeywell HSCDRRN001ND2A5 5V DC differential pressure sensor. The SEK001 also has sockets to receive Honeywell’s TruStability HSC and SSC series pressure sensors, which come with an I2C or SPI digital output, as well as the TruStability RSC series of high resolution pressure sensors. It is priced at €8.14/£6.26: individual pressure sensors are sold separately.

 

Freely downloadable Honeywell software controls the Arduino Uno board and takes readings from the sensor under evaluation. Sensor measurements can be displayed on a PC and recorded to a .csv file for further analysis.
