QA·C is used globally to assist development engineers to produce high integrity code, enforcing coding standards such as MISRA C. As one of the first products certified as “fit for purpose” for the final draft (ISO/FDIS) version of ISO 26262 that is expected to be ratified by the end of the year, QA·C remains the tool of choice for automotive companies.

Andreas Bärwald, Product Line Manager Electrical/Electronic Systems – Functional Safety and Technical Certifier at TÜV SÜD Automotive comments, “Our evaluation covered QA·C, the quality and compliance of the software development processes at PRQA and compliance to the Safety Manual. We found that PRQA offers a solution that will help developers in automotive and other safety critical industries achieve certification quickly and efficiently.”

“With ISO 26262 expected to be ratified in the near future, ensuring compliance is a key issue for automotive software engineers,” said Paul Blundell, CEO of PRQA. “Obtaining TÜV SÜD certification gives our customers even greater confidence in the effectiveness of our tools.”

Blundell added that the ever increasing size and complexity of code has driven the broader adoption of standards beyond the automotive industry. “We have customers using QA·C to support the development of a wide range of different applications, and our ISO 61508 certification will help engineers meet this standard when developing safety critical or business critical software systems.”

QA·C, MISRA C compliance modules and the Safety Manual are now available from PRQA. Find out more at www.programmingresearch.com.
