PTC receives two automotive-relevant safety certificates
The international standard ISO/IEC 15504 aka A-Spice defines master conditions for development and evaluation of software design processes. If implemented correctly, it improves the quality of processes and products within the user organization. The certificate for process capability level 2 attests this process quality to the PTC design process. In addition, implementing these master conditions facilitates and improves the collaboration across complex supply chains and among globally distributed design and development centers.
In addition, PTC submitted its Integrity software to TÜV Süd for certification according to the "Fit for Purpose" criteria defined in ISO 26262 and IEC 61508, the two most important standards for safety-critical systems in passenger vehicles. Essential elements of this independent assessment were the PTC Integrity single platform approach, change and configuration management as well as requirements and test management. User organizations active in the automotive industry developing safety-relevant embedded solutions can use PTC Integrity to qualify the tool chain used in the development of such systems up to the highest safety levels ASIL-D or SIL3, respectively.
