Push-in PCB terminal blocks for currents up to 125 A
The SPT 35 PCB terminal blocks from Phoenix Contact for currents up to 125 A and voltages up to 1000 V are currently the most powerful Push-in PCB terminal blocks on the market.
With the new SPT 35/..-H, the company is extending its portfolio of high-current PCB terminal blocks with spring connection technology to include the horizontal conductor connection direction.
The wave-solderable PCB terminal blocks are available as standard in versions with 1- to 5-positions. With a 15 mm pitch, conductors with a cross-section of up to 35 mm² can be connected by means of convenient and tool-free Push-in connection technology. The defined contact force ensures permanently stable contacting. With the horizontal connection and actuation direction, the product series is ideal for use in the front of the device.
Phoenix Contact has also recently released the FS 0,635 series board-to-board connector with floating functionality. The connector offers a high tolerance compensation of ±0.7 mm in the x and y directions. With a pitch of 0.635 mm, this tolerance is greater than the pitch itself. In the z direction, a plug-in tolerance of 0.6 mm is also possible.
This flexibility within the board-to-board connection minimises mechanical strain and provides a reliable connection. These properties are particularly important in environments with high vibration, when using several board-to-board connectors side by side, or for automatic insertion using robots.
The combination of floating and high speed is unique on the market: Despite the curved contact of the floating version, it achieves a data transmission rate of up to 40 Gbps. As an additional service, Phoenix Contact offers its customers design-in support with high-speed simulations and S-parameters. The floating female connector strip is combined with a fixed rigid male connector strip. With the floating principle, the series achieves stack heights between 8 and 12.6 mm. As a standard rigid board-to-board connection, stack heights between 6 and 16.6 mm can be realised. The entire series is available now in the four numbers of positions 20, 40, 60, and 80 via the free sample service.
Typical applications for both products include data communications, telecommunications, IT, and manufacturing.
